Dates:

Monday, April 20 to Saturday, April 25, 2009
Delegations arrive by 3 p.m. Monday, and depart by mid-day Saturday.

Delegation Size:

No more than eight delegates. Students should outnumber adults; there should be no more than six students and no more than three adults.

Accommodations:

Students will stay with Hotchkiss students in dorm rooms.

Adults will stay at a hotel (double and single rooms), walking distance to campus. We have secured an incredibly good deal with the Wake Robin Inn. Faculty are encouraged to make reservations by calling 860-435-2000 or e-mailing the inn (specify that you are with the Round Square Conference at The Hotchkiss School). All Main Inn rooms are offered at $129/night and Summer Building rooms are offered at $99/night. Faculty members who wish to have us try and find you a roommate to split lodging costs should email Stacey Nicholson.

In the event that the Wake Robin Inn becomes full, a small block of rooms has been reserved at the Interlaken Inn for $109/night. Reservations and payment for the Interlaken must be made through Stacey Nicholson in order to receive the rate above.

Pre-and Post-Conference:

Hotchkiss is three hours west of Boston, two hours north of New York City, and six hours north of Washington, D.C. Hotchkiss is also five minutes from the Appalachian Trail, and opportunities for multi-day hikes exist, as well as trail maintenance work.

The dates of the conference should allow for delegations to take pre- and post-conference trips without missing too many school days.
